Volunteers are vital to our work and your valuable skills and fresh perspectives make a difference for CORE as well as those we serve. Be an usher, help strike the set, publicize events, or work in the office. Internships are available in Production, Communications, Development, Arts Management and Social Media and, as a student, college credit hours may be available.

Step behind the scenes and get an insider’s perspective of how CORE continues to offer dance to our community for 30 years and counting! Learn how to organize and manage a non-profit arts organization and if you’re a dancer, have the option to take classes with CORE Performance Company for free! Work includes: researching grant opportunities, Atlanta/Houston database updates, and assisting in Communications, Touring and Fundraising.
At CORE we are dedicated to opening new channels of communication between artists and the community. We do this through our performances and special events. Help CORE’s events go smoothly by lending a hand to set up the space and serve refreshments at Lunchtime in the Studio, Salons and other events.
Being an usher or assisting backstage is an energizing community experience. Support CORE by greeting our audience members, preparing programs and selling CORE merchandise or by lending a hand backstage. CORE Performance Crew works directly with the production manager, Patton White. If it is a ticketed event, admission is included as compensation for your time.
Being an Ambassador for CORE means being available at events like Bayou City Art Festival and other large events, to give more information about CORE to general audiences.
