Rose Benavente

Rose Benavente graduated from Emory University in 2005 with High Honors in Dance and Movement Studies. She danced and choreographed after graduation in the city of Atlanta with many local dancers including Beacon Dance, DENSE, Ground Delivery Dance, and Helen Hale Dance. She was fortunate to work with Jawole Willa Jo Zollar and Urban Bush Women, Bill T. Jones, and David Dorfman and Company in her time at Emory. She went on to find a love for public health and community service while working with Grady EMS and obtained a dual degree in Public Health and Physician Assistant Studies from Mercery University in 2022. Rose now works fulltime as a Physician Assistant for underserved and disabled communities in and around Atlanta, GA. She is committed to serving her community with empathy and tailoring health communication to the individual. Rose continues to dance in the kitchen, in the living room, and with friends weekly!

Rose has worked with Core Dance since 2010 and is grateful for her job serving the community as a place to make, see and support art.
